Hello guys!

My name is Michael, I am a 28 year old Trans Man (and no, I'm not an addict lol). This is not my real name, just an alias I use, so no worries. I've been on testosterone for six years, I had top surgery around a year ago, as well as a hysto (unfortunately they were only a month apart, had a medical problem) and I have a consult for Phallo next month.

Look forward to meeting ya'all.

Welcome, Michael!

I also had top surgery (revision) and hysto 3 weeks apart, which was a bit tough on the body.

Please post about your phalloplasty consult in the phallo forum. There are lots of guys eager for more information!

Nice to meet you Josh!

Yeah, it was really rough on me, I had a medical issues (ovarian cysts, three of them about 6 cm in size that were causing me alot of pain) that necessitated the hysto being done (I was told I could just have the cysts out and I said just take the whole effin thing out). My main problem was I was throwing up alot until I got rid of the c02 in my gut (I had a robotic assist hysterectomy done at the hospital I work at). They gave me IV medication, as well as the patch on my neck and sublingual pill that didn't make me stop throwing up.

Plus, one my incisions got infected twice, it was kind of humorous cause right after surgery, I looked at my gown and saw some blood, and was all "What the heck is that?" (I'm an EMT, so I'm normally really good with this kind of stuff, but I was doped to my gills), and they were like "Oh, thats normal", and I was like "Well, I gotta pee" and I get out of the gurney and guess what? Theres blood under me and I was pretty much like "Oh great, I'm fucking falling apart now" It was a bit weird of an experience because I was in the ob/gyn ward and the only dude, but they were all cool to me (the other patients that is, Docs + Nurses rocked too). And I was also grumpy cause I let the nursing student do my IV, she put it too far up the vein and I couldn't bend my elbow, she also went through the valve so it pushed a ton of blood out of it... Yeah, good job.

So it was thrills. My consult is middle of next month, I'll be sure to post something.

SO glad that surgery is behind me. I had a tough complication (fistula) and that experience adds to the uneasiness I have around future surgeries, but I really look forward to being on the other side of phalloplasty.

Ouch, I understand totally Joshua, I'm fairly nervous about that kind of thing as I work in the medical field and know what can happen when things go wrong. Me too, I'll motivate myself for a top surgery post in a few days, I've been feeling blah lately lol.
