I am a bigger chested guy (size D or maybe even DD) and currently live in New Orleans.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to go to Dr. Raphael in Texas or Dr. Garramone in Florida.

I believe Dr. Raphael does not use drains, which is a plus for me.

Does anyone have any thoughts or personal experiences about either doctor's top surgery results with guys who were bigger chested in size?

I really want symmetry and no major dog ears!

Thanks!

Correct, Drs. Raphael, Dulin and Harris at AI4PS don't use drains. Also, they do a Top Surgery method with additional liposuction that is designed to prevent "dog ears."

Looks like both options are about the same distance from you.

Revision policies might be worth asking about.

Liking the results from both surgeons on TransBucket.com?

I just googled dog ear. Is that a typical thing? Does it happen because of drains and that's why you don't want them?

"Dog ears" are fairly common with the Double Incision procedure. They are excess skin and fat that "pucker" out at the incision line, as it goes around the side of the chest, under the arm pits. There's a growing number of surgeons who are able to consistently avoid dog ears by doing additional liposuction. If one does get dog ears, they can be dealt with in a revision surgery, though that can be almost as pricey as Top Surgery itself unless it's covered under your surgeon's revision policy.
