Urethral lengthening in abdominal phallo - akcrowley - 11-08-2020

Hi,

So I know that UL isn't common in abdominal phalloplasty. But I know that using a graft from the forearm or some other places it can happen. My questions are: how big of a graft do they take from the forearm? And what are the most successful graft locations other than the forearm? On a different note, does anyone have a good source for pictures of this technique? It's not quite as common as some of the others, so I'm having trouble finding healed pictures.

Thanks,
-Alexander

Thanks for your questions, Alexander! You can see a photo of the arm graft dimensions on this page, under Radial Artery Urethroplasty:
https://www.andrology.co.uk/phalloplasty/formation-of-the-neo-urethra

There's a photo of an Abdominal Phalloplasty on this page:
https://www.phallo.net/procedures/abdominal-phalloplasty.htm

That was done by the London team but it's not clear if that patient had Radial Artery Urethroplasty. If you have an account at TransBucket.com, you can find one photo of a completed Ab Phallo, search under Dr. Nim Christopher, and another when you search for Dr. David Ralph.

After the forearm, ALT (thigh) is the most commonly used donor site but patients need to have low sub-cutaneous fat in the thigh to be good candidates.

Thank you. Those are really helpful links and the transbucket pictures turned out really well.
