Dr. Andrew Kochuba, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon who performs FTM Top Surgery at Austin-Weston, The Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Reston, Virginia. What Does Top Surgery Cost?

FTM Top Surgery with Dr. Kochuba starts at $12,050, based on pricing from September 2025.

The quoted fee includes:

• Surgeon's fee
• Anesthesia
• Operating room
• Recovery garments
• Pre-operative visits
• Post-operative visits

The final cost is determined after consultation.

Payment options include cash, credit card and check, and financing is available through CareCredit. Dr. Kochuba does not accept insurance, Medicaid or Medicare for Top Surgery.

Consultations with Dr. Kochuba

You can meet with Dr. Kochuba either in person or virtually. Consultations cost $100, which is credited toward surgery.

Typical scheduling is:

• Consultation: 2-5 weeks
• Surgery: 3-6 weeks after consultation

Preparing for FTM Top Surgery

Surgical requirements may include:

• Medical clearance, depending on health history
• No smoking for at least one month before surgery
• Not currently pregnant
• Meeting the practice's applicable WPATH-based requirements
• One or two referral letters from a qualified mental health professional, as required

Referral documentation includes a psychosocial assessment and diagnoses, the clinical rationale supporting surgery, documentation of informed consent and confirmation that the referring professional is available for coordination of care.
