Top Surgery Techniques
Dr. Ovadia offers several approaches to Top Surgery, allowing the surgical plan to be matched to differences in chest anatomy, skin elasticity and nipple position. Techniques include:
- Double Incision
- Keyhole
- Peri-Areolar
- Inverted-T
- Buttonhole
Dr. Ovadia also offers sensory nerve preservation and drain-free techniques.
Body Masculinization
For patients seeking changes beyond the chest, Dr. Ovadia performs Body Masculinization Surgery to create more masculine body contours. Body contouring can address areas where fat distribution contributes to a more traditionally feminine silhouette. The surgical plan is based on the areas the patient would like to change and their existing body contours.
Dr. Ovadia’s training in both gender surgery and craniofacial surgery also informs his work in Facial Masculinization Surgery (FMS). FMS uses surgical techniques to modify facial bone and soft tissue to create more masculine facial contours. Procedures may address the jawline, chin, forehead and other facial features.
A Practice Focused on Gender-Affirming Surgery
Gender-affirming surgery is a primary focus at Ovadia Plastic Surgery. More than half of his patients are transgender or gender-diverse. Staff are trained to use patients’ chosen names and pronouns in scheduling, consultations and follow-up communication, and the practice provides educational resources specifically for transgender surgical patients.
