I know I'm not the OP, but I just had my hysto 2/19. I had laparoscopic hysto/salpingo/oophorectomy. I have 4 small (1 inch) incisions. Two pretty much in line with my hip bone, one in my belly button (I have a very deep belly button so when that heals no one will see it) and the fourth is about 4 inches above my hip, midway to the middle of my stomach on the left side. That one will be visible when wearing shorts, but is very thin. Once it heals over completely (and turns white) I don't think anyone would notice it if I don't point it out. I am pretty fair skinned though so white scars blend pretty easily. People have laparoscopies for a lot of reasons though (male and female) so even if the scar were pretty visible, it's small and I don't think anyone would question it.
