Would a plastic surgeon who does not specialize in top surgery be able to produce satisfactory results?
Some surgeons are listed on trans resource sites but the surgeon does not mention trans people on their own website.

Given how many surgeons there are now who are experienced with Top Surgery, I would prioritize going to a surgeon who has experience. Unfortunately, insurance/finances can sometimes dictate who we go to.

That said, there are surgeons who didn't initially specialize in Top Surgery who became proficient in it. Someone had to be their first patients.

Surgeons who don't list gender-affirming procedures on their websites used to be very common. They didn't want to be criticized for offering this care. That has largely faded out but in U.S. states where trans rights seem to be regressing, we might see an uptick of this.
