Hello,

My name is Vedant and I am 23 Years old transman from Hyderabad, India.

For 20 years of my life, I was suffering from gender identity dysphoria and finally had the courage to shut the noises and put an end to the suffering by starting my Hormone Replacement Therapy in October 2020.

I quit an extremely toxic workplace and living space,  after being out and discriminated against due to my choices but not before my mental health and self-esteem stooped to the lowest. 

I had been relying on my savings/side projects to support my transition until I am in the right mindset to take up a full-time job again,  in a trans-inclusive and friendly company for which Team Periferry & TWEET Foundation have been diligently helping me.

However, my gender dysphoria is only getting worse, leaning to depressive episodes lasting weeks. And the only way out I see is getting my gender affirmation surgery done ASAP. I have managed to save a significant amount by taking up writing projects earlier in the year when I was in good mental space but falling short on the requisite fund by some amount.

Every little amount towards the fundraiser will bring me a step closer to my dream life. I will be greatly indebted to you if you could share the fundraiser with someone who could be a potential donor or direct me to relevant organizations to seek help.

I am not socially out and hence avoiding sharing on any social handles as of now and resorting to emails. I am sorry if it is too much of an ask but I would be very grateful if you could kindly donate whatever little amount in the capacity of the organization towards my fundraiser.

I plan to get the surgery done in August-end and am also willing to gladly return the favor by volunteering for tasks within my skillset to honor your confidence in me. Someday, I have promised myself to fully fund fellow transmen's surgeries, and I am hopeful of reaching that stage soon.

But getting my stage-I surgery after consulting my therapists, has become non-negotiable to gain back my confidence in life and live a life with dignity.
