I'm Arrow I'm a nonbinary trans ftm person. I have Top Surgery scheduled for January and I have to pay for it upfront by December 19th. I've been working very hard to save up enough to pay for it but I've been hit with multiple financial emergencies in the past few months that wiped out basically all of my savings. The surgery is going to cost $14,045 and I've figured out enough with savings to get what I need down to around $8,000. I realized too late that I don't have enough of a credit history to get a loan from anywhere. I've been trying but no place will loan me anything. I need to figure out how to get $8,000 before December 19th, I've been doing what I can but don't know how I will find it all so I've started a GoFundMe to try to get the money. I've scheduled the surgery date already and had to put $1000 down so if I can't come up with the rest of the money before then I will lose the non refundable $1000 down. I don't want to go into detail about my chest size but suffice to say it is large enough that it gives me horrible chronic back pain that has gotten really really difficult to deal with, the gender dysphoria and the chronic pain are nearly unbearable and I really really need to be able to get rid of it as soon as possible.
I live with my partner who I love, my partner is disabled and I am their sole carer, I am the only one of us who is able to work and hold down a job, so I am caring for both of us on what I make which is part of what makes it difficult to save the money for the surgery. But if I get the surgery then once I am recovered I will be able to do a much better job caring for my partner because I won't be struggling with the chronic pain and fatigue from that.
