Dr. Ashley N. DeLeon, MD, FACS is a board-certified general surgeon in Austin, Texas who had a background in breast surgery before learning FTM Top Surgery techniques from Dr. Curtis Crane. Dr. DeLeon had practiced general surgery, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, and complex abdominal, pelvic and breast procedures, then developed an interest in gender-affirming surgery and sought out advanced fellowship training with Dr. Crane. Upon the completion of her training, she joined the Crane Center for Transgender Surgery where she now offers Top Surgery and Phalloplasty for trans men and non-binary individuals. Dr. DeLeon is a big sports fan and also provides trauma surgery for drivers at the Formula One track in Austin.

Dr. DeLeon follows WPATH guidelines for surgery. You will need to provide one referral from a mental health professional, otherwise specified by insurance. Additionally, patients must be 18+ years of age.
Financing & Insurance
Dr. DeLeon accepts credit/debit cards, cashier's check, money order, wire transfer and medical financing via CareCredit. She also accepts insurance and is in-network with Cigna PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Commercial United Healthcare PPO, and Employer Health Network (Whole Foods). Crane Center has also had success billing out-of-network with United Healthcare, Aetna, Group Health, Harvard Pilgrim, HealthPartners and Medica. Medicare, Medicaid, Tri-Care, Kaiser, Ambetter and Oscar Health are not accepted.
Booking a Consultation
Dr. DeLeon is available for phone or in-person consultations in Austin. If insurance is out-of-network, then the cost of the consultation is $200. If in-network, the consultation fee is the specialist co-pay. An in-person consultation is not required for booking a surgery date.
Current wait list: 4-6 weeks for a consultation, 5-6 weeks after our consutlation for a surgery date.
