Dr. Michael Beckenstein, MD, FACS, is a board certified Plastic Surgeon in Alabama who is pleased to offer his expertise and skills in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery to trans masculine individuals in the Birmingham area and throughout Alabama and the Southeast.

Dr. Beckenstein is board-certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and maintains active membership in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
Surgery Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Letter recommending surgery from a therapist
- In good general health
- Mammogram may be required

Dr. Beckenstein accepts cash, credit cards, certified check, and Care Credit. He also accepts insurance. Medicaid and Medicare are not accepted.
